Cooper plans to increase North American tire sales price by 6.5%

Comprehensive foreign reports, Cooper Tire & Rubber plans to increase the sales price of North American tires by 6.5% from November 1, 2010.

Cooper said that due to rising raw material prices, Cooper must take price increases. On June 1, 2010, Cooper raised the price of passenger car and light truck tires by 7.5%.

The Cooper Tire tire price was raised after Goodyear. Previously, Goodyear has launched a tire price increase plan. From October 1, 2010, Goodyear expects to increase tire sales prices by 6%. On June 1, 2010, Goodyear raised the price of tires sold in the North American market by 6%.

On May 1, 2010, Goodyear raised the price of commercial vehicle tires in North America by 8%. Due to rising raw materials and transportation costs, Goodyear also raised the price of tread rubber by 7%.
