Installation of AIS equipment for ships for the first time in the Yellowstone area
On July 5, 2011, the Yellowstone Maritime Safety Administration first installed AIS terminal equipment for two ships in the Yellowstone area. This will mark the era of ship informationization and ship-shore information integration.
On the same day, the Bureau's Communication Information Center received two applications for the vessel, and drove to the Wuxue Huaxin Cement Plant No. 2 and the Xisaishan Oil Depot to carry out the AIS terminal for the vessels of Zhaoqing Changyang No. 8 and Shengshui No. 203 anchored in the relevant waters. The equipment was installed and the driver of the ship was explained about the operation and working performance of the AIS equipment.
It is understood that after the navigation ship is installed with this identification system, it can provide value-added services to ship owners or shipping companies through public networks and wireless channels. According to the construction requirements of the Yangtze River AIS system , the system can realize remote updating of electronic river maps and ship over-explanation. Business application, ship scheduling, basic scheduling information inquiry, reception and reply, crew and ship information inquiry, regulatory navigation and ship remote visa.
The Yellowstone Maritime Safety Administration is currently promoting the practical convenience of the system. It is believed that in the near future, the safe navigation of ships will open a new and good situation.
