Jiangsu launches emergency management of water environment along the river
From now on, Jiangsu Province will use four months to conduct a comprehensive investigation and rectification of the implementation of key environmental emergency prevention and control facilities and management systems for the production, storage and transportation of hazardous chemicals along the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River.
The remediation will focus on the three key links and three priorities of drinking water environmental emergency management along the Yangtze River to carry out investigations and remediation, and establish a sound response system for environmental emergencies. Among them, the three links refer to the production of hazardous chemicals along the river, the warehousing and docking of ports, and the water transportation links. The three focuses are prevention and control facilities, including monitoring and early warning, emergency prevention and control, and pollutants receiving and disposing facilities and equipment.
