The reporter learned from the fifteenth academic annual meeting of the Gear Manufacturing Committee of the Automobile Manufacturing Sub-committee of the China Association of Automobile Engineers held in Qinghai yesterday that Laigang has developed and produced six steel gear steel products, becoming the first company in the country to realize all sub-steels. During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan†period, the Chinese gear industry will maintain an average annual growth rate of about 12%, and the market potential of the gear industry is huge. As the largest special steel production base in Shandong Province, Laiwu Steel has invested more than 300 million yuan in the past five years to carry out technological transformation and process structural adjustment, forming two comparative advantages of gear steel and bearing steel. Among them, the production of gear steel quickly reached 400,000 tons.
