New Mud Pump Liner Challenges Guinness World Records

On December 15th, the reporter learned from the testing site of the new high wear-resistant long-life slurry pump cylinder developed by Bohai Drilling Co., Ltd. It was learned that in June 2006, the Bohai Drilling Team 40509 drilling team used this cylinder liner so far, and the effective time exceeded 13,000 hours. Its service life exceeds 45 times that of ordinary bimetal liners. At present, this new type of mud pump cylinder liner is still in normal use, challenging the Guinness world record for mud pump cylinder liners.

The mud pump cylinder sleeve overcomes the defects of low wear resistance of the double metal cylinder sleeve, fragility of the ceramic cylinder sleeve and poor heat dissipation, effectively prolongs the service life, greatly reduces the number of cylinder liners used, improves drilling efficiency, and reduces drilling cost. At present, this new type of high-wear and long-life slurry pump cylinder liner has been applied in the 3NB pump and F pump of Bohai Drilling Company and Chuanqing Drilling Company.
