Oroqen's first drying tower drying to 500 tons
The Oroqen ethnic group is one of the least populated ethnic groups in the northeastern region of China. It mainly resides in the Daxinganling forest region. In order to enable the villagers' food to be dried in time to avoid losses, the farmers in Xin'e Township have raised RMB 5 million by themselves to build a drying tower that will dry up to 500 tons on the first day of the Oroqen to bring benefits to rural households.
In the town of Yankee, Heihe City, the native of Hubei Province, the Oro Spring Village of New Hubei Province, Du Guiliang, a self-employed farmer, raised 5 million yuan of funds and built the first Oroqen drying tower with a daily processing capacity of 500 tons, which solved the farmers' difficulties in selling grain.
Xin'e Township is located in the depths of the Xiaoxing'an Mountains. The transportation is very inconvenient, and grain sales are often not a good price because there is no drying equipment. At the beginning of this year, with the support of the township government and the relevant departments of the county, Du Guiliang launched the grain drying tower to approve more than 30,000 square meters of construction land, including 20,000 square meters of drying space and 10,000 square meters of storage. The grain drying equipment funds were raised by the plantation cooperative Du Guiliang and other funds, and put into use before the acquisition of the new grain. At present, more than 18,000 tons of corn have been acquired and dried, and a one-stop service from mechanical harvesting, transportation and drying has been realized, which has solved the problems of grain storage and sales in the township.
