On October 10, the new low-gas drying system of Shanghai Petrochemical's 3.9-million-ton/year residual oil hydrogenation plant was put into operation after three months of on-site construction and production preparation.
The system consists of 2 dryers, 1 pre-dryer, 2 water separators, 1 heater and 1 cooler, etc. It consists of 7 devices, which are used for drying and dehydration of the low gas sent from the residue hydrotreating unit. Therefore, the water content in the low gas separation can be reduced to less than 300 ppm, which effectively reduces the impact on the adsorbent of the downstream device due to the high content of low gas separation water, and ensures the safe long-term delivery of the low gas separation.
At present, the system is running well and all the indicators have reached the design value. The operating conditions of the low-gas separation pipe and the raw material properties of the downstream devices have all been significantly improved.
