TMC receives an order for an environmentally friendly marine air compression system for two chemical tankers
Recently, TMC Compressor Co., Ltd. received a contract from AVIC Dingheng to supply an environmentally friendly marine air compression system for the two chemical tankers that the shipyard is building for the Norwegian shipping company Utkilen AS.
The air compression system that TMC will supply is a smart air compressor with high energy efficiency, saving up to 50% energy compared to conventional compressors, reducing operating costs and harmful atmospheric emissions.
Under the contract, TMC will be responsible for the production and delivery of a complete intelligent air compressor system for each vessel, including air dryers and filters, and control gas systems.
According to another additional contract, TMC will also deliver raw air compressors for each ship's nitrogen system, but did not disclose the contract amount.
TMC's equipment will be delivered to AVIC Dingheng Shipyard. The two new ships built by the shipyard are 9900 DWT chemical tankers, and the new ship is expected to be delivered in 2019.
