China Yuchai International Group recently announced its unaudited financial report for the first quarter of this year. The report shows that its operating income and profits have declined in the first quarter.
In the first quarter, Yuchai International’s net operating income was 3.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year drop of 12%. The net operating income for the same period last year was 4.2 billion yuan.
Yuchai Machinery's Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (GYMCL for short) sold 131,697 diesel engines in the first quarter of this year. In the same period last year, the number of diesel engines sold was 160,831, which was mainly due to commercial vehicles. Demand in the market declined.
Yuchai International's gross profit for the first quarter was 779.4 million yuan, and its gross profit margin was 21.2%. Gross profit for the same period last year was 944.1 million yuan, and its gross profit margin was 22.3%.
In the first quarter, Yuchai International’s operating profit was 374.2 million yuan, which was due to Yuchai’s international shareholders’ net profit of 167.9 million yuan. In the same period last year, Yuchai’s operating profit was RMB 428.5 million, which was due to the company’s shareholders’ net profit of RMB 230.5 million.
