The 2008 Hubei Manufacturing Information Technology Work Conference was held in Xiangfan, Hubei Province. In order to implement the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan for Manufacturing Informatization Engineering in Hubei Provinceâ€, the meeting further strengthened the exchange learning among enterprises, raised the level of enterprise informationization, and enhanced the independent innovation capability and core competitiveness of Hubei enterprises.
The one-day meeting was attended by leaders from the Hubei Science and Technology Bureau, the chief of the high-tech section, experts from the Hubei Province Manufacturing Informatization Experts Group, representatives of the 2007 manufacturing informatization demonstration companies, manufacturing enterprises in Hubei, Wuhan, and Huangshi. The head of the Productivity Promotion Center attended the meeting. The meeting summed up the province's manufacturing informatization work in 2007, and deployed the manufacturing informatization work of Hubei Province in 2008, and informed the work arrangement and project organization ideas of the high-tech office of the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology in 2008. Wuhan, Huangshi, Xiangfan Technology Bureau Experiences were introduced in manufacturing informatization work. Model enterprises such as Jingzhou Four Machine Works, Huangshi Dongbei Group and Dongfeng Dana Axle Co., Ltd. conducted an exchange of experience. After the meeting, they inspected Xiangfan Dongfeng Dana Axle Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng. Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. and the test track.
